The Theory Test consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
The Theory Test includes the Hazard Perception Test.
You must take you Theory Test at your local Test Centre. These test centres can be located via the internet by contacting the Driving Standards Agency, contacting Strive to Drive or by booking your Theory Test by telephone.
When you go for your Theory Test (which includes the Hazard Perception Test), you will need to take the following: PHOTOCARD DRIVING LICENCE & COUNTERPART DRIVING LICENCE (paper copy) &THE LETTER THE DSA SENT TO YOU CONFIRMING YOUR THEORY TEST.
You can found out where the nearest Test Center to you by contacting Driving Standards Agency.
You can book your Theory Test, (which includes the Hazard Perception Test) by contacting the Driving Standards Agency by telephone 0870 01 01 372, Internet www.dsa.gov.uk.
You can prepare for the Theory Test by using the appropriate DSA Hazard Perception Test DVD, which can be supplied by Strive to Drive. You can purchase DVD or CD ROM from stockist or click here to find companies online where you can purchase the DVD or CD ROM. You can also purchase the DVD or CD ROM from the Driving Standards Agency (0870 01 01 372 - www.dsa.gov.uk).
You need 43 points to pass the Theory Test. There are 50 questions in the Theory Test covering topics related to safe driving.
Your allocated Strive to Drive Instructor will offer guidance and information to help you prepare for the Theory Test. Your instructor can also help during your Driving Lessons with theory questions and help you recognise and deal with traffic signs, road signs and many other topics included in the Theory Test. This will prepare you for the Theory Test and will contribute to your safe driving.
If you do not pass your Theory Test you will be advised by your instructor to the next course of action.
